Have you heard of Phyllis Lyon and Del Martin? After 55 years of living together, they were one of the first same-sex couples to legally marry in the United States. Back in February 12, 2004, they tied the knot in a city-sanctioned San Francisco ceremony and then again in a state-sanction 2008 ceremony.
